1923 Season 1 - Episode 5
I have no doubt that 1923 will drag it out as long as possible, putting them in danger's path again and again. We're going to be put through the wringer again and again, but if each near-calamitous circumstance rewards us with fiery and passionate scenes of love and survival, it will be an outstanding journey.

As if the returning second part of the season wasn't reason to celebrate enough, fans will also be thrilled to hear that 1923 has been renewed for a second season, with Ford and Mirren set to return to their lead roles.
Alternatively, if you want to re-watch (or perhaps don't have a Paramount Plus subscription), 1923 has now started airing on Channel 5 with the first episode having aired on Thursday 9th February at 10pm and the rest of the season being released weekly.

I love the entire Dutton family saga. I watched 1883 twice and am looking forward to the second season of 1923. Ann Mirrem and Harrison Ford are great together. Kevin Costner will be missed. Do you really want to leave? Please reconsider. All of the cast members are very talented and believable in their roles.Beautiful scenery
At the beginning of the episode, Emma Dutton (Marley Shelton) attends to the grave of her husband, John (James Badge Dale), and we learn that the date of the fateful ambush by Banner Creighton (Jerome Flynn) and his men was August 28, 1923.
Later in the episode, when Spencer (Brandon Sklenar) and Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) try to book passage from Kenya to the United Kingdom (as there are no direct voyages from Africa to the United States), they are told that the ship won't leave for another three weeks and the sail date is November 11.
That would make it late October, which means that Alexandra was wrong when she told Spencer that Cara Dutton's (Helen Mirren) letter informing him of his brother's death was sent three months before they opened it. With the concrete dates given in this episode, it turns out no more than two months have passed.
However, this ship couldn't have been there as, crucially, in 1923, it was undergoing a major overhaul in Southampton, England. It did not return to Atlantic service until the following year, meaning Spencer couldn't have sent a wire from it to tell the Duttons of his imminent departure.
"In memory of Derek Chavez," it reads. According to IMDb, Chavez was a production supervisor who worked across all eight episodes of the first season of "1923," as well as the first prequel in the "Yellowstone" universe, "1883." He died in January at the age of 32.
Taylor Sheridan's second prequel series to Yellowstone has now aired four episodes of an eight-part season. With four more episodes to go, fans will have to be patient to find out what will happen to Jacob, Spencer, Cara and the Dutton family friends.
New episodes of 1923 drop on Paramount+ at 03:01 ET and 00:01 PT. Paramount has yet to announce if this is the last break of the season, and it's not known if Episodes 5 through 8 will air without interruption.
